Institute for Food

Working with teams composed of two graphic designers, two architects, and two interior designers, this is a completely developed concept for Miami University’s Institute for Food. With traditional methods of farming in mind, our final concept consisted of three main elements: honesty, balance, and integration. These three words were present abstractly in the branding, architecture, and interiors.

For the brand, we wanted to create something that would integrate history and the tradition of farming. We also wanted it to be bold and professional; keeping it relevant, contemporary, and befitting of an institute. To achieve these ends we explored different hand-done processes such as letterpress and illustration, and paired them with more digital textures and modern typefaces.
